Updated: Kids and Alcohol

Published on September 27, 2007

Gene Grant (one of my favorite local writers) of the Albuquerque Tribune writes “Our kids’ scourge is obvious. It’s alcohol, people!”
I don’t disagree with him. I have seen, firsthand, the effects on friends and family when teenage partying turns into a lifestyle.
Hell, I’m from Española. . .use your imagination.

I can’t stop watching this video

Published on September 25, 2007

Don’t ask me what it means, because I don’t know. It’s just perfectly hilarious.
I don’t know if it’s the cool 70’s music, the jacket over his shoulders, or watching him kick grandma as hard as he does. It just makes me laugh.

Cubano Shootout

Published on September 24, 2007

I’ve been very vocal about the Cubano being my favorite sandwich for about a year now. If you aren’t familiar with a Cubano, then you simply haven’t lived.
I’ve tried three different versions in Albuquerque establishments, and one in Socorro. I will be more than happy to add to my list, and therefore make a better […]

Step one: Take new 4×4 truck for an off-road ride in Belen’s unfamiliar territory without another vehicle and driver as backup.

I drive by this building downtown almost everyday. I wonder how many times people make jokes about this dude’s name every day too. The name of the firm sounds like some sort of 1970’s classic rock band or the title of an old western.

schni schna schappi. schnappi schnappi schnap

Since 2005, this song has risen to #1 on the charts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. It also went top 10 in Australia and New Zealand. I have to laugh, because I know that someone reading this is saying, “I was into early Schnappi, before he sold out. Like, get […]
