Morning of the Living Dead: More State Fair Love

When I was in my teens, I broke into my school campus and raced my motorcycle up and down the sidewalks past the classrooms where I normally sat listlessly. It’s hard to describe the feeling I had running havoc in those empty grounds normally bustling with students and teachers.

We’re State Fair People

Last year, I asked a co-worker if she was going to the NM State Fair, to which she smirked, “Um, we’re not State Fair people.”
Her response was something I would have said years ago. Nowadays, I look forward to the gluttony-of-the-senses of the Fair.
