- The son of the only Hispanic Baptists in the heroin capital of the world (Española, New Mexico), Rico Martínez made the survivalist decision to play guitar because, “No one wants the party to end because someone's stabbed one of the musicians."
After high school, he migrated to Albuquerque armed with a guitar, three packages of Ramen noodles and an encyclopedic knowledge of pre-1979 KISS trivia.
Fast-forward through 20 years of club bands, bar fights, pilgrimages to Mexico and Spain, frantic conversations with Jesus (and several guys named Jesús), Rico finds himself living the good life on a quiet NE Albuquerque street.
He drives a truck, eats meat, and hates any movie with Keanu Reeves.
